Senior Solutions Architect
LightFeather is seeking a skilled Senior Solutions Architect to join our team in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will provide thought leadership across AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms, driving cloud infrastructure and application improvements. This role involves leading DevOps practices, ensuring robust cloud solutions, and mentoring other engineers.

Responsibilities:
- Provide thought leadership in cloud architecture across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Architect and implement secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions.
- Lead DevOps initiatives, integrating automation and infrastructure as code (IaC) principles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and roadmap for cloud services.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers in cloud technologies and DevOps practices.
- Perform cloud assessments and recommend improvements to optimize performance and cost-efficiency.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including diagrams, standards, and procedures.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- US Citizenship.
- Active Secret clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture and engineering.
- Proficiency in AWS, Azure, and GCP services with a strong understanding of their capabilities and limitations.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation and infrastructure management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information to diverse stakeholders.
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect are highly desirable.
Preferred:
- Experience in a federal government or DoD environment.
- Familiarity with security and compliance standards (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST SP 800-53).
- Knowledge of container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing priorities.
